About Carolyn

Carolyn Houren joined S3 Ventures in 2022 and is currently an Associate. Carolyn’s responsibilities include evaluating potential investments and supporting portfolio companies, including Control Rooms, HYAS, LeanDNA, Rest, and Saranas.

Prior to joining S3, Carolyn spent the last six years gaining knowledge across consulting, finance, investments, and operations. Most recently, she was Chief of Staff at Cosmic Bliss (fka Coconut Bliss) supporting the business transformation post-acquisition across operations, finance, accounting, and sales. Carolyn also worked for Stafford Capital Partners, a global alternative investment firm, building out the global deal sourcing platform and supporting private markets investments. Carolyn began her career at PwC in M&A financial modeling and data analytics.

Carolyn grew up in Houston before attending the University of Georgia (UGA) Honors Program for her BBA in Accounting and International Business and Master of Accountancy. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Carolyn currently serves on the UGA Terry Young Alumni Board and is involved in the UGA mentor program.
